In a sarge installation, I should have leter as paper size for my
system, but it seems more like a4. Checking config.ps I see a4 listed

I don't have any experience with that particular setup (P3 to P4), but I
would bet you a nickel that everything will work fine. You will be
installing the "i386" version of debian, which should work equivalently on
everything from 386 on up, which certainly includes both P3 and P4

Reinstalled Woody several times due to faulty system or setup. Last time
appeared successful but included Linux Old besides Linux on startup and
Vmlinus.old on root directory. First time this happened. Can anyone
explain and is it safe to rm(delete) Vmlinuz.old from root? This occurred

very stable. I heard that architects prefer linux for large projects
