I am getting "eth0:mismatched read page pointers 0 vs 1" when I ifconfig eth0
"online" and this continues until I ifconfig eth0 down. These are continous
and repeated errors to console. I have an SMC 8416T at port 220 and interupt
10 (both of these values are correctly autoprobe
I have just setup majordom version 1.94 on my Debian 2.0 box running
Smail as my mail client.
My problem is that when ever I post something to the list
subscribe/unsubscribe or just a plain message I get this bounce error
message;

FWIW, the debian lists just started showing up again on my news
server from someplace in France. I rather LIKE using them in Unsenet
format rather than mailing list format only because my mailbox gets enough
clutter.

depmod -a?

You can still use lilo with a very short timeout value with win95 the
default. lilo will just flash on the screen briefly.
You could use a multi-config setup in the win95 partition which I believe,
it's been a long time, can be transparent to the user.
The only warning I would give you is that
There is a group currently making a replacement for dselect called diety.
So you might want to hold off on that thought.

No need to worry about the MBR. I have used linux and Win95 on the same
machine for 2 years now. I have always used lilo to boot them with 0

I`m using tin and xcoral as my $VISUAL editor but recently it`s starting

The only thing Win95 did to my machine was replace the MBR. I had to boot
from floppy and re-run lilo. Everything was fine after that.
Note:
Win95 will replace any boot manager. I had os/2 on using a boot
manager when I first got Win95 a few years ago and it did the same to it.

Use ytalk instead. If you hit the esc key you get a menu of things to do,
like add another user to the talk session and log to a file.

Just change from lpr to lprng but then whenever I try to run
lpr or lpq, it said "cannot open connection to [EMAIL PROTECTED]".
I have read the Intro and Tutorial in the /usr/doc/lprng but
could not find any short answer.

It is rather intersting but I simply changed the com port and put on a
faster modem and it started working.

I've found on a box with a few hundred users, you had better allocate a
LOT more for /var. I mounted a 1 Gig drive as /var, and gave the users a
5 MB quota on the filesystem. I also put 300 MB on /tmp... Of course,

I was wondering if there was anyway to ensure that update announcements
for changes on the debian ftp site match the reality of what is there.
For instance I just read that e2fsprogs has been updated to version 1.09
with a medium update level.
