Recently when running "apt update" in my VM (under virt-manager) running
Debian testing I see this error in the middle:

Problem solved.
I solved the problem by reinstalling x11-xkb-utils; no harm to remove all the
gdm & gnome stuff if reinstalled directly!

I'm tracking Lenny on 2.6.26-1-amd64.
The command powersave -U is now failing, and the following error is in
/var/log/messages:

Should I file a bug or is this a known issue?

error didn't come up when I booted.

I just installed Debian 2.2 and compiled the 2.2.17 kernel on a 3.2 gig
Quantum Fireball EX. The drive is a slave on the primary IDE cable and
both drives are jumpered correctly. I did bad block scans when
initializing all partitions and nothing bad came up. This is the error:
