How is this going to help him, when what he has is a missing package? Why
does everyone automatically offer this, like it fixes anything and
everything?

but I got an error message from apt saying that it it depended on
j2se-common which could not be installed. Can anyone advise how to get
around this?

I'm running woody, the newest balckdown jdk, and apache jserv.
The problem is the jdk just stops working, or it could be the jserv. but there
are no errors in the log files. does anyone have anysuggestions on how to
troubleshoot this?
Wayne
Hi ,
I am writing you because I can't make the java debugger jdb to work on
"potato"- java VM is working fine.
What I am trying to do is to debug a very simple file ; what happends is
that debugger get "locked".

answer:
Cannot find the JPDA package!
Make sure jpda.jar or tools.jar is in your CLASSPATH.
Can anybody please clarify if JDPA is enabled on Blackdown Java and where is
located because I was unsuccsesfull to identify it.
Thank you for participation,

I finally put a bullet in my teeth and dist-upgraded a potato system to woody.
In potato I had been running communicator-smotif with the Blackdown Java
plugin. Here's what I have now, post-upgrade:
communicator-base 4.73-19Communicator base support
communicator-nethelp-473
Hi,
I'm trying to get a JDK working with CorelLinux.
CorelLinux has libc_2.0.7.19981211_6.deb.
JDK needs libc2.1.2.
I tried CorelUpdating/dpkg with libc6_2.1.2-11.deb,
but it complains about a dependency problem between libc6 and something
else.
It may be because it can't take the jump from 20
