Add in vimrc:

Choose a different key if you want. Note that it assumes you are at the
top of the file.
Then add the attached script in your path somewhere.
Have fun.

I think that the '#' is being interpreted as a comment at runtime. In
this email I used:
my_hdr X-Operating-System: `uname -a|sed -e 's/#/Number /'`
and it worked. Which means it ignores '#' inside command expansion,
but not the final value. Neat.

The kernel automatically sets the route to the interfaces in kernels >=
2.1.(one of them). So you can comment out the route lines in
/etc/init.d/network
AFAICT, that shouldn't have anything to do with why it can't talk on the
network though.
Does ifconfig show the device?

I've compiled the kernel many times with my 200 and 233. I have not had a
problem with Cyrix yet. But that's not going to stop me from getting an
AMD for some floating point improvements.

FWIW, I had to use IRQ 7 and DMA 7 to get mine to work. YMMV.
My isapnp.conf is attached. Still heavily commented though.

heh. cewl. I'm using yours now. :) I noticed mine was really dumb
because it executes all of those programs every time a new prompt
is issued. I guess the first two should have been pointed toward
env variables. Still, I like yours better. :)
As for the current

directory while having a small prompt. Also for telling when an xterm
was last used.
The second one only lists the last command executed. Don't know how to
list the current one.
Hope this helps!
