I have a G400 and I used to (long time ago) have that sort of thing happen. It was more frequent with my TNT2ultra at the time. Lately I haven't had problems (in fact, some speed improvements). I'm running linux 2.4.10 and X 4.1.0.1. Do you have the ability to telnet/ssh in?
