Hi all, I seem to have a trouble with the X Window System. Both on sarge (where the X server is XFree86) and on etch (where I use X.org), the graphics system just hangs from time to time. When it does so, the interface becomes completely unresponsive, and the keyboard appears to stop functioning

Hiya! Obviously, I'm somewhat blinded. For some time I try to configure a new desktop machine ('etch', kernel 2.6.12) to automount (gnome-volume-manager) an USB stick. This is not my first Debian system and with other systems (e.g. my laptop), I'm able to use USB sticks, but this machine is awful.
