Yeah, you're right. I hadn't noticed the existence of that file. Unfortunately, the two files appear to be duplicates
# diff xorg.conf XF86Config-4 # so there's no DontVTSwitch in /etc/X11/xorg.conf, either. xwininfo and xdpyinfo don't seem to give any info that appears relevent to the problem. I was hoping they'd show "DontVTSwitch" in their output. At least then I'd know what was causing the problem. This is so wierd... Any other suggestions?
