Hi folks,
PC keyboards have been redesigned in Xfree86 4.3 to allow loading
several layouts (for instance us+ru+fr); in xkeyboard-config, all
previous PC layouts have been dropped and replaced by these new
layouts.
But Macintosh keyboards have not been updated, mainly because

As explained in

I need your help to fix Macintosh keyboards. These changes
will be pushed upstream when known bugs are fixed, and I
would like to do it as soon as possible.

Hi,
xkb-data 0.8-12exp2 is in experimental. The macintosh_old2 version
has been removed from this version, there are only 2 models:
- macintosh_old (old kernels with ADB keycodes)
- macintosh (new kernels with PC keycodes)
But 2 new options are added: apple:badmap and apple:goodmap to change

Hi,
I just uploaded xkb-data 0.8-13 into unstable, it
is available at http://people.debian.org/~barbier/tmp/
and will reach mirrors in almost a day.
This version is very similar to 0.8-12exp4, I believe
that it is pretty solid, but needs more polishing.
We can discuss to change default settings a

of keymaps from console-data are included because of space constraints.
