Another issue that I had.
How I do copy and paste between applications and terminal windows? With PC and
full sized keyboard, I simply use 'Shift + Insert'. Do you have any suggestions
as to how it would work in a PowerBook keyboard (I can't seem to find and
insert key).

unately I can't get the temperature
reading since this does not support it. Anyways, from reading your post you are
comparing two totally different architectures (G3 vs G4). From my understanding
the G4 definitely runs hotter than the old G3s.
I don't think it is anything to worry
driver. It is still
not fully developed but I will try it out if there is no other choice.

In this case you are not installing anything
but simply running from the CD. If this freezes still then it is most
likely the CPU overheating.
Also make sure there are no obstructions blocking the heat vents or fan
air flow.

Starting Xorg without any conf uses the fbdev driver, resulting in poor
quality.
Any other powerpc users experiencing the same problem?

recover partition tables, etc.
I think you should take a look at #5 first and go from there.
