Actually, no. Take a closer look at the buildd configuration in /etc,
and the script in ~buildd/bin/. The master database is actually on
another machine, and the one on voltaire is slaved to it.

I have been in communication with postgresql maintainer (Oliver Elphick
<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>), because it would not build out of the box on
a powerpc till version 6.4.2-4. We fixed it and now -5 will build and
create most packages but libpgperl. The perl interface is hell to
understand.
