Hi all.
We're running out a custom application for a local print house and they
really prefer to use mac's where possible (me too!). The application
involves running transforms on really really large image files amongst
other things, so needs heaps of RAM and loads of speed.
Can anyone give

Hello,
As many are painfully aware ofpath in current yaboot does not function
correctly under 2.6 systems, worse case it gives out bogus paths
therefore causing the system to fail to boot.
I have preliminary changes in current development version of yaboot
which fixes ofpath to support 2.6.4 and

No. It may be possible to make it working if we could figure out
what is the "low frequency" setting programmed in the PMU. N

On this ibook, you should rather take kernel 2.6.4 from kernel.org.
Everything is supported.
You may also switch to a newer gcc...

I ran into a snag trying to update to kernel 2.6.3. Could someone
point me in the right direction?
Box: PowerMac 8500 (OldWorld)
Loader: BootX
Previous working kernel: 2.4.17
Kernel Sources: obtained via "apt-get source kernel-source-2.6.3"
Symptom: Booting starts with "Welcome to...
Hi!
Is there any way at all to get rivafb working on a PBG4 12" 867?
Booting 2.6.3-ben2 and 2.6.4 just result in a pretty, but unusable color
stripe pattern on the display. 2.4.25-ben1 works.

Hi all,
I've compiled 2.6.5-rc2. The kernel is running stable. Well, there
is a small problem:
It is not possible to unload ehci_hcd. Neither with rmmod nor with
rmmod -f. The usb ports are all unplugged. So stopping or rebooting
the machine hangs while unloading the module:
