I think the 9500 is like my s900 in that it relies on a PCI card for video. I
also think that the original poster said he was using an IMS TwinTurbo 4MB card.
I have success with my machine by setting the OF ouput-device to

Can we suggest that to Branden for (commented) inclusion in
/etc/X11/Xmodmap (or have you done so already)?

The reason for placing the bootstrap partition first is that it will then
be booted by default. This way when MacOS mucks with your firmware, you
can simply reset it with cmd-opt-p-r to restore yaboot to defaul

hello,
do i really have to put the bootstrap partition before the first mac-os
partition?
i followed the "famous" instruction
http://www.xiph.org/~jack/ibook/instnotes.html
and have a bootstrap partition after my mac-os partitions. it works for
booting via open firmware (boot hd:11,\\yaboot).

Forget the kernel version: my keyboard is ANSI, yours ISO perhaps.

Hi,
I believed it is possible to compile a binary for both powerpc (in fact Mac
performa 6400) and RS6000 (7248 43P, which is PReP) since I used the same
Debian cd to install on both. But I compiled a program under the Mac and I can't
run it on the RS6000.
Can I achieve that? What option(s) shoul
