I do have some patches to the SConstruct file in my dpatch patch list,

Hmm. The Makefile.osx uses libtool... It can't be _that_ easy...

Of c
that it can be built without ELFIO. I'll be looking
into that while packaging up slviewer, so unless you know of another
use for the library, there's no particular hurry on this one.

udev Provides: hotplug so you don't yet need to worry about
that for pacakaging purposes, although if you put the firmware in a .deb
file then it _does_ matter. (Or at least so the changelog of udev

igure.{ac,in} in the toplevel directory.
Otherwise, the .in file is not generated, but processed by configure
into a Makefile mainly by variable substitution.
You can tell an automake-generated Makefile.in because it'll make you
cry like a small child if you accidentally view it in a text
n.org/333237
It's optional, in so far as you can upload without it if you're a DD.
But you might have trouble finding a sponsor without it. ^_^

The

expect the cursor data is arch-independant...
Also, it might be worth querying the debian-x list about this, since it
looks like there's two conflicting pieces of advice in lintian about this.

suspect your library usage is more tightly coupled than that,
so it would be more effort than is neccessary for the payout.
