i didn't know the specified tecra but if its based on centrino
technology - like werner said - it seems to be quite new. so i think
the problem will be solved anyway.

Hi,
Is there anybody out there with any experience of Debian in any of the
following Toshiba laptops?
Satellite 1800-100, 1800-204S, 1800-314, 1800-354S and
3000-X4
They seem to offer most of the features I am looking for at a
reasonable price but I don't know whether they are Linux/D

Dear all,
I saw a few qestions abot specific models of Toshiba laptops

I've been running 2.1 on my Toshiba 2100CDS for about four months. Works
fine for me, kernel-upgrade to 2.2.14 fixed problems with APM. XFree
setup provided some difficulties, mainly because the hardware specs were
non-existent for my TFT. Modem works fine with the ltmodem-module; sound
works well

I don't know about that model, but I have a tecra8000.
It's Ok; i've had to deal with the "tecra bug", meaning bzImages don't boot.
That's been a bit of a pain, making installation less-than-straight forward
(you won't be able to boot off a *debian* cdrom--althought SuSE, for
example, works

good choice ? Where can I find a configuration ? (or can I make one myself
?) And at last what packages is recommended ?
