! I have a 1.2 GHz Mobile PIII and the BIOS reports the current CPU speed to be 800MHz, while bogomips returns 750. I want my 1.2 GHz! How? Fn-\ on my US keyboard doesn't seem to do anything. Or do I need to strategically reboot at the right time? When? -- .''`. mart

removing the cdrom drive. I know the symptoms of such action, but this is not comparable. The characters are lacking only every so often, and the "freezes" are at most 2 seconds in length - when I'd pull out my CD-ROM and the IDE driver would look for it, that could take minutes...
