Some time ago, I wrote a small list of hints for people using
Debian/Linux on noteboks.
During that time I, I was more or less focused on hints

Yes, I did recompile once again and it is now working as a module.

DON'T even think about using the irmanager, it's been discarded a long time..
Since you aren't specifying which irda device you are trying to use, nor for
what purpose. let's assume you just want to connect your palm or mobile phone =)

No, still doesn't like it. I did a 'make xconfig' and found that
there weren't any kernel modules compiled into the kernel.
Recompiling just now.

Dunno... but... this isn't a standard Debian kernel. It's an
improved version. I really don't like to re-compile kernels.

Clevo 665 . Works fine with SuSE 7.3 and a 2.4.10 kernel. Works
with Red Hat as well.
