These are definitely present but not Irda. So, don't know what to say about it really. I suppose that I could do 'mkdir irda' but ... what to put in it once it's there ? I also did .. later on .... /etc/init.d/irmanager restart and it re-started revealing that it was in fact running in the background without me knowing about it. Also tried 'irdadump' but the terminal window command line just locks up until I do Ctrl-c and then it says "0 packets received by filter". Tried this afer changing the required config file to point at /dev/ircomm0 and also /dev/ttyS2. Neither seems to be the right one. Anyway I can query the IF port on my machine ? The whole thing is a bit strange so not sure what to do about it. Thanks -- Richard www.sheflug.co.uk
