for
the most complex packages, keeping these two lists synchronised is error-prone,
I will think about a 'control.in' system as Adeodato suggested.

non-standard statements that are DFSG compliant.

Hi all,
this seems neverending :( Bio::Graphics, that I ITPed, updated its
dependancies, and now recommends Bio::SCF, so here is one more ITP. The package
should be straightforward, however it depdends on Stadens package's libread,
the
factorisation of the package list between Depends and Build-Depends, I will
solve this in my packages with a dpkg substvar, such as
$(depends:libfoo-bar-perl} for Foo::Bar. It seems that it is trivial to pass
through dh_gencontrol.

ore and that will complain against the substvar. But it
should be easy to desensitize it to substvars, which would restore compliance
with our Policy.

But XPM is a text file, which is
convenient since we (unfortunately) use this .diff.gz which requires to

I think that it is a very good idea indeed. Here is a rough summary of
it: http://wiki.debian.org/DataPackages
Was there any interesting discussion on the subject during Debconf

- One drawback of the greedy approach for organising the Files fields
is that the most important copyright - the one of the programs which
gives to the package its raison d'être - will never be at the top of
the list.
