we have the same problem here. It is here even more worse, because we
use the autoinstall feature via pxe and preseed file. Until know I did
not find a way to suppress "The kernel was unable to re-read the
partition table on /dev/mdX" message. So during installation you have to
ignore this

tricky to use with the text-only interface of debconf. Maybe adding a

Both reports are because grub-legacy doestn't support UUIDs.
So this will be solved if you finally switch to grub2 by default.

With grub2 `grub-install (md0)' could just be used, to setup it
