Diversity (sponsorships)!
This more specifically means:
-contacting people who were involved last year, seeing if they're
interested, or if anyone new is
-agreeing on goals
-figuring out where money cones from

If the immediate goal is to just get some ideas for basic planning, a
three question survey would do it and probably be better. You wouldn't
even need to have accounts or e-mail addresses. :)

In general, I think asking people in need to front money is a barrier.
Since, hopefully, Diversity efforts reach out to people who are the most
in need (and/or less likely to feel empowered to take the steps to get
themselves to DC without support), it is a lot nicer to not require them

DebConf and hang out (and hack) with our new and pre-existing Debian

Some people expressed interest in being part of this process.

I've lent hands for the past couple of years around diversity

Exactly! I don't know who would want their BoF recorded (though I know
some people do).

John Sullivan asked if I could pitch in on running the FSF Members BoF
(https://debconf17.debconf.org/talks/156/). But, I have to leave Friday
morning (super early). Would it be possible to reschedule it to earlier
in the conference?

like their might be a critical mass of Debian folks to do a dinner or
something in addition to any presentations.
Cheers,
Molly

I speak no spanish and know nothing about Cuba, so someone else should
probably plan any fun :)
I'd be happy to talk about Debian Outreachy, or just hang out and learn.
Cubans aren't eligible for Outreachy though, so it makes it -feel- less
relevant. Most of what I've done around Debian is spendin
