That said, having now the coordinates populated in dt, one need to click on
the gear on the right of the Export button and enable geotag export

I tested an idea and it works (at least for dt 3.4.1).
Create a fake gpx file per site, like this one, for example home.gpx:

Unfortunately, as I discovered in the manual (

should empty the directory C:\Users\Laurent\AppData\Local\darktable,
copy there these two files, rename them data.db & library.db and then
run darktable 3.4.0. Maybe everything will work fine.

I doubt darktable is installed in c:\users\dasrktable (why with an 's'?).
It is probably installed in "c:\Program or something like that
depending on the version of your Windows.

OK. If darktable has imported the pictures, one .xmp file has been
created beside each picture file in the directory you imported from.
Do you see these .xmp file with Windows Explorer?

Hi,
If you try to import pictures always from the same drive / directory,
maybe your drive / directory is corrupted or it has a huge number of
pictures or it is slow. In that case, I suggest to copy some of the
pictures to *another drive (USB or so)* and to try to import from
there. If it works th

There are differences between 3.2.1 and 3.4.0 concerning importing:
3.2.1
-> 3 buttons (file, folder, device)
-> import from memory card copies files to the HS/SSD
3.4.0
-> 2 buttons (file, folder)
-> camera (but not the card in the card reader) appears automatically
when detected
-> import from me
The thumbnails in dt and Dolphin are nearly the same size.
And are you sure dt has a cache with the thumnails displayed in the
*Import* window?

at least for the card reader (not yet tested with the camera, but it
is USB 2 only).
Thanks,

log in darktable needs ~18 s to display the 133
thumbnails although Dolphin needs only 2-3 s. So I guess the hardware
is not the most critical point, dont't you?

Using darktable 3.2.1 x64 / Q4OS Linux (Debian 10 type).
First of all, thanks to the developpers for their work.
1. I recently imported all the pictures (250+) from my memory card to
my harddrive. I wanted to import them on my hard disk in several
partial imports to get them into several folders
Hi,
in 3.0.1 release, in dark table mode, the photograph exposure
information area below the image is not cleaned when changing from one
image to another, resulting in overlapping texts.

Hi,
I have found some typos in french translation, and while correcting them in
po file also thought of improved translation (?) for some texts.
