Hi fellow C&C owners.
I am getting ready to replace some rigging on my boat and the first step
will be un-stepping the mast. Since I am in San Diego, we don't pull the
boat for the winter, and I have no experience with un-stepping the mast. I
have a C&C 36.

backstay and the lower shrouds very easily.
Overall, I am glad I spent the $$ to get this done, as I felt that using 33
year old rod was living on borrowed time.
I would be happy to provide more details to anyone interested.

Hi fellow C&C owners.
I am waiting on a quote to replace my corroded spreaders and likely also
replace the standing rigging on my 1981 C&C 36.
Does anyone know of a source for replacement spreaders?
Can anyone tell me about their experience with replacing their standing
rigging?
thanks

I redid most of my rod rigging about 9 months ago on a 1981 C&C 36.
There are some things that you should get carefully checked out (which I
did not do prior to buying my boat). For example, my spreader tips were
really corroded, and had to be replaced.
In redoing the rod, we replaced the fittings
did not find, and I could have negotiated a better price.
Hope this helps

I bought replacement lower spreaders from South Shore a few years ago. But
I also had a local marine fabricator repair my upper spreaders for alot
less $$

on my 1981 36' we redid most of the rod rigging. My rigger (Butler Marine
in San Diego) recommended that the old tangs be replaced with the K200
stemball tangs. Apparently these are a better design.
Would be happy to share more details, I think I posted some of these
details a few months ago.
