I echo Ken’s comments about our Spring in Nova Scotia. This week we had 50+ F
(10, 14, 11, 7 C) temperatures Thursday thru Sunday. Perfect weather for
Spring Commissioning, paint, epoxy tasks. This is to be followed by below
freezing and 15-20 cm (6-8 in) snow Monday and Tuesday and the

Question about LED replacement bulbs for nav lights. Is there a conversion
chart for our Aqua Signal lights. My steaming and anchoring lights are out and
I want to convert if I have to climb the mast. Might as well do the deck
accessible ones at the same time.

Just make sure that you use the green LED bulbs behind the green lens and
the same for the red.
I found out the hard way that using white LED bulbs behind the colored lens
reduced the visibility dramatically and had to purchase the matching LED
bulbs in order for the forward running lights to work
Hi Bev,
Shaft size can be changed over the years, I went from 7/8" to 1"
shaft a while ago.
It is best to measure (if it wasn't noted in the log book the last
time it was done :).
Simply back off the packing nut, measure the inside (thread)
diameter, screw it back on, measure the prop shaft

Hi John,
It sounds like the shoulder season there is

Easter Weekend. (Hey Jim, don't tell them how far we had to go.)
Here's what I use (portable Buddy) to take the

Allen, If you mean that combination masthead light (steaming and anchoring)
that Aqua Signals provides, I just replaced the bulbs in mine with LEDs from
MarineBeam LED Lighting. They work perfectly. The tricolor steaming light
actually has a three color bulb, which makes all 3 colors very brig

Bev,
So fun going by memory. When I splashed Beemer in December, I had a wonderful
stream of water from my stuffing box. Unscrewed and added one loop of packing.
All dry after. 90% certain it was 3/8 thick.
As Russ mentioned, other than a stream of water (not bad), easy to do while
boat is in t
Off the top of your head, do you know the dimensions of the cutlass bearing
for the 35-3?
1" shaft I know. length and outside diameter is what I'm looking for. I'm 2
1/2 hours away. Looking to save a trip.
A friend said he would lend me his strup-pro.

We had a mild winter this year (first one in a few years...global warming is only a rumour in Canada) so I'm hoping for a decent summer this year. Should be a good year to do Atlantic Canada. I did the Bras d Or lakes last summer in July it was a little wet and cool (cold summer) but Aug w
