We had a mild winter this year (first one in a few years...global warming is only a rumour in Canada) so I'm hoping for a decent summer this year. Should be a good year to do Atlantic Canada. I did the Bras d Or lakes last summer in July it was a little wet and cool (cold summer) but Aug was nice. If your going to do the Bras d Or, which is very nice, you will be traveling the Eastern Shore (Halifax to Cape Breton) which is very nice also. It's rugged and remote with lots of isolated and protected anchorages, I enjoyed it very much and may do it again this year along with NFLD.
