My local shop sold me something called "Z-Clean" or "Z-Cleaner". I'll check
when I get home. It works well for inflatables. I use 303 UV protection spray
after every cleaning.

Bob,
I purchased one of these units, new, in 2007. The head of the boatyard
where Cat's Paw is stored recommended it as a low cost but good radar
system. He claimed that the electronics in these low-end radars was
identical, i.e. made by the same (unknown) manufacturer and then coupled

All kidding aside, for anyone else who needs to mess with an asbestos wrapped

works better, but it pretty well eliminates having small bits of fibre released

Asbestos can be pretty serious.Besides wetting it, it would be good if you
could encapsulate it with poly and have some gloves taped into the poly to keep
all fibers contained. And of course, make sure you're wearing a respirator.

Speaking of old radar...I just gave up on my Furuno 1720 radar after several bench hours swapping out AF boards with no luck. I do know the cable and display work fine. Does anyone need a donor system...or does anyone have a dusty 1720 array in their garage that works??Harry Hallgring

Hi, this is my first post to the list. I have been following the list
for a while and have just purchased a 1977 C&C 26.
Mistress is in very good condition and is well rigged and has good
sails. And even though she isn't in the water yet I know she will be the
prettiest boat at the club ;-)...
David welcome to the list. I have a 1977 C&C 26 just west of Calgary at Ghost Lake. I just launched today. I've had the boat about 10 years. If you need any help or advice don't hesitate to ask. And your on the right forum, these guys know most anything you need to know.Sam Salter C&C 26 Liquorice

condition, a few mechanical issues and a fair bit of deferred
maintenance, but I'm pretty pleased with her. Sails very nicely, lots

I have never spayed any of my tanks, and none of them ever had kittens or
puppies. I think the tank doctor is having you on.
