Have just acquired Em-trak B923 AIS transponder with built in antenna splitter.
Wish to also connect B923 to a65.
Hi, David — the only downside to this is you won’t be able to support SeaTalk1
on the NG network, as the NMEA2000 cable doesn’t have the sixth wire for it.
Otherwise, you should be good.

I hope the experts can answer this network question. I was working on
extending my Seatalk-ng network through the pedestal and realized there might
be a simpler way given the challenges of running cable through the pedestal. I
already have NMEA2000 running through the pedestal from my previou

Subject: Re: Stus-List Seatalk
I have found that on one particular tack the 1000 tends to be a little sketchy
with its ability to stay on course as its compass goes whacky. It's almost like
the units gimbal gets jammed up or something. As a result the course computer
decides to make a change based on false compass readings. T
Brent, out of curiosity, what characteristic of the ST 1000's behavior are you
attempting to change? The 1000's compass is generally quite adequate for
course maintenance.

You need a Seatalk splitter so you can set up your network. All the seatalk
gear works together *usually* without a lot of interfacing. Plug everything
into the Seatalk bus and it chats away to itself.

I have an ST1000 tiller pilot that I am fairly happy with. I just got an ST40
compass and I understand that if the pilot sees another flux gate compass in
the network it will ignore its own built in unit and use the other. I like that
idea as I can mount the compass in a less lively place and cl
