Just remember that the chain/wire "crosses over" inside the pedestal; the cable
from the port side of the quadrant comes over the starboard side of the
sprocket, and vice versa.
Otherwise, your steering will be even more interesting next time you go out...

I replaced mine when the cable got frayed. I pulled the pin from a block to get
slack in the cable, undid each end from the quadrant, and pulled it out and
took it to a rigging shop. Not really too bad of a job. I am sure it is a pain
to do
Btw valve grinding paste in the stripped screw heads works! Got the
tip from someone on the list.
