If you can curb your desire to see the naked acrylic, I suggest leaving the
protective paper on until the bedding is set up and then peel and trim. On the
side adjacent to the frame, cut a strip off the paper to leave an appropriate
sized border of bare acrylic.

I used cast acrylic from Maritime Plastics in Annapolis There is an
Industrial supplier you can find on the web who is cheaper if they have it
locally. I don't recall the name.

last time and it crazed around the edges where I had to wipe off excess
