If by "boo" you mean bamboo, that is not a hard wood. I have it in a
few rooms of my home and can attest that it gouges easily. I'm pretty
sure carbonized bamboo is softer than the lighter colored
non-carbonized.

but I think you can do it with two sheets. You need to "spline" the section by
the galley to get the correct width as it is over 4 feet wide there. I first
did a rough cut (within say a half inch) with a jig saw, then
Two.
The mistake I made was to not check that the two sheets match well, one
is light and the other dark... ah well...
