When I originally installed tracks and cars on my 25, I too had seen photos
with the bungie cord on the back of the car. After several years experience
with the Garhauer cars on both my boats, I still don't have the slightest
clue what the bungie is supposed to do.

Merriman 1,25 inch track. The fit and operation is perfect.
I just meet him at the Toronto boat show. Very knowledgeable guy.

I've got 1 1/4" "T" track - I think it's Merryman on my 1977 C&C 26.
Talk to Garhauer - their cars etc. fitted perfectly.
Many C&C owners have done this - it's an easy upgrade.
(but talk to them, some cars need to have the underside of the ball race shaved
to fit the track)
