Our weather pattern here in the middle states has not bee conducive to boating;
it rains or has a high percentage chance of rain almost every day; plus, the
Ohio River has been up over its normal banks for over two weeks... very unusual
for mid summer. I have not been able to get into my dock b
Gary, check with Fred Street of this list, (Fred, chime in here); Fred
recommended an Octopus Hydraulic drive with a Raymarine system, which I
installed in my 37; I can send photos off line...

Dave, It was a real treat following along on the tracking site; and we have
enough veteran racers on the list that it was like a play-by-play, or rather,
tack by tack! When you get home, (and if you feel up to it), could you give
us a review of what you did to prep for the race, the boat and
Gary, last winter I ordered a brand new tank from Kracor; it matched the
original 1985 tank; they were great to deal with; I went to their website and
then just called them up; it did take a bout 4 weeks for shipmentthey put
the holes in the tank for me

If I'm reading the race tracker correctly, it looks like Dave has a first in
Class C!

Per Joel's explanation; "The Gulf Stream has a very defined curve. I suspect
everyone is sailing towards about the same entry point."
Will they begin separating after they get into the Gulf Stream? I have never
done an ocean race, but have read about these races, this is where the
Navigator b
Its interesting how bunched up the fleet is; I would have thought there would
be more separation by nowthis is really treat to be able to follow this
race so closely!

Dwight, Congrats; I (actually, I'm pretty sure we all do) know the joy of
finally getting in the water, checking things out and lo and behold, they work!

I am not familiar with the Queen's Cup Race; could you share more information
about it? It's history and inception , then course, and naturally, the C&C
involvement? Thanks

was very helpful, ( and patient with all of my questions) in getting the system
