Dennis; could you please explain for me how a soft shackle doesn't get hung up whereas a knot or other arrangement does? I have looked at these (but have not used one), and have read all the articles about them in the mags... and I am having conceptual difficulty with the fact that the soft shackles have knots on them and could hang up just as much as a well tied jib sheet...or, what am I missing? many thanks!
