Might have to play with it but the slightly pliable nature is why I suggested the g/flex. Normal epoxy can be brittle especially if its not going to be drilled and tapped. I would be fearful that a wood or sheet metal screw would crack the repair out of the hole. Josh Muckley S/V Sea Hawk 1989 C

Agreed with Fred, first choice machine screws, second larger, and third and fourth - bodywork clips or heavily glass-filled epoxy. I did a bunch of the latter this season and found that drilling the (new) holes then 'tapping' with a modified wood screw worked well.By modified I mean grinding

John, if you want to be able to reach to the very top of the mast, get yourself a harness and an aider (e.g.: http://blackdiamondequipment.com/en_CA/big-wall-climbing/alpine-aiders-BD390050ALL1.html). Or make yourself a pair of stirrups that you can attach to the a halyard (and a harness).

I wanted to replace the sheaves on Enterprise. I was advised by Klacko Spar who manufactured the mast to send them the old sheaves. They told me C&C did not necessarily use the same sheave on a particular mast. More what every they had on hand at the time. I think it would be difficult to change
