Double checking here...the quadrant is designed to be in two pieces that clamp around the shaft. It hasn't just lost a couple of screws, has it? On 21 June 2013 11:28, Danny Haughey wrote: > Hi Damien, my Viking brethren! I agree with the Edson advice. Now we've > both lost steering too! > >

Nit sure what you call a small boat but on my 35 the Titan handle works just fine and has done for years.I expect that one would work well on a C&C 110 just fine too.if not then I would suggest a better winch, 3 speed maybe, might be in order Dwight Veinot C&C 35 MKII, Alianna Head of St. Mar

Last night as I was motoring to my dock space after putting up my mast, i noticed my wheel steering was WAY too loose. I was lucky enough to be able to DRIFT correctly into my slip without any steering correction (since that would have been impossible). I have a 1974 Ontario Viking (33 foot) - C&

I had Seaboard winches on my previous boat. Didn't use pawns. Had two rings with saw teeth things that interlocked to keep it from spinning backwards. One day the rings didn't seat well, the winch spun backwards and launched a non-locking winch handle about 40 feet off the side of the boat. Luck

the Titans have their uses. They are cheap, light and disposable. For lower load jobs and for small boats they are fine for just about ecverything. I mean the 8" handles though as I agree the longer ones would flex too much. On a larger boat they would be good only for adjusting things like out
