Last August I did the Dillon open. 95 degrees, no wind and a water temp of about 38 degrees. I've been sailing here in Colorado since 2010. The shifts and gusts are incredible. A 4 minute triangle start run will not work here because you do not have 4 minutes of consistent wind. Believe me I've

A long time back I had a temporary membership card from the Lake Dillon YC, probably from a J24 regatta. My favorite backwoods lake regatta was on Flathead Lake in Montana. The YC was a large BBQ attached to a two hole outhouse. We ramp launched and hand raised masts. It was a great weekend.
