I know for a fact that I can't attend any of these items during the
regular work day/week. No way bosses will give me time off for things
that are unrelated. Even things that might be related they would have a
hard time justifying.

With Windows you technically only need 1 partition, however you can use as many
as you would like (I believe the max is 1 per drive letter, but I could be
wrong about that). The recovery partition is exactly what it sounds like, it
is where your recovery image is stored on your hard drive so th
Git Annex Brancheable allows you to do a private drop box like setup.

You create a local GIT repository (via the easy (local) web interface),
then link that repository to other repo's - new or existing. The remote
repos can be GIT based, or rsync'd. Now, anyti
I here you. I would say you are in the majority. That is why I would
like to invite speakers to one of our meetings. Logistics of that
working out easily are slim though. But I will try.

I've been testing OwnCloud for about a month now. Simple setup, and seems
the least quirky. Mac/Windows/Linux clients are free, but unfortunately
Android/iOS clients are not free (no source code, and they charge for
mobile clients -- but only a couple dollars.). I prefer this to all the

I think commercial presentations are a good idea. Having said that, I get
about a dozen invites to similar events every month, although I suppose
without any kind of community focus. I don't ever attend because the

I just set up a win7/ubuntu dual boot machine. The win7 came with the
computer and I installed ubuntu on top of it. I did have to shrink the
windows partition first from within windows. I split my SSD into two
equal size chunks-one for windows, one for ubuntu. The windows half

Hello all,
I was not sure whether I would be available for Wednesday 2013 October 2
CLUG meeting, but found that I could make the meeting after all.
Is it too late to invite IBM to give a talk on IBM equipment and Linux?
If they could be invited to give a talk I would love to hear them speak.

Yes, it is too short a notice for this meeting. I still have to talk to
my contacts at IBM and get their ideas about what to do.

I for one would like to hear from you, yes.
So I can add your bit to the list of topics?
