Nitin,
I didn't think docs.cloudstack.org was the primary storage place for any
design docs. It should contain only stuff from before CloudStack entered
Apache incubation. Before Apache, weren't all the design docs kept on the
Cloud.com / Citrix wiki? If not, and the only copies were on
docs.clouds

Mike,
One thing you should be aware of is that CloudStack used lvmoiscsi SR for
iscsi. It is not vdi per lun. From your other emails, I think solid fire is
trying to implement vdi/volume per lun. It's very different from CloudStack's
implementation.

I think direct iscsi access from guest VM probably is faster than virtual disk
in XenServer,
in XenServer, virtual disk is emulated by dom0 application, virtual NIC is
emulated by dom0 Kernel, direct iscsi access basically moves from virtual disk
emulation to virtual NIC emulation.

*irony* I wonder how many people will reply just to Sheng with their vote :)
I don't really care about the RFC violation, I don't think there's any
reason to be compelled to adhere to it just for the sake of sticking to a
standard.
I would prefer that conversations that begin on-list stay on-list

Hey Ilya,
I'm playing around with redesigning the current incubation site for people who
are onboarding or want to learn about CloudStack for the first time. I'll send
out a design proposal and plan on discussing this with Joe, Mark, David as to
how we can get this off the ground. CloudStack h
