Hi,
I need help on the clamav. I'm using slackware 10 in my office and sendmail
is installed as our MTA.
We use clamav to scan the files. recently I notice that the smtp is slow
and I have the following message when I restart sendmail service.

placed the crash-hat.repo, and then run yum install clamav and yum install
clamav-db can install both packages, but I cannot install clamd using

Check out clamassassin at http://drivel.com/clamassassin. It is a shell
script which uses clamscan and formail to scan for viruses and modify the
email header aka spamassassin. The README explains how to use procmail to
invoke clamassassin and filter based on the header.

It would be FAR easier to install Clamav 103.3 from EPEL repository
for CentOS / RH than build from source, especially when releases get
published through EPEL very quickly.

CentOS 8 needs 2GB just to install. In my experience you will struggle to get
*anything* useful to run with 2GB.
