I'm running a RH 9 / Plesk server with Clamav version 0.88.7. Freshclam
pulled down the new main.cvd (version 42) on 12/31/2006. Clamd
immediately choked on it and I had to revert to the "stock" main.cvd
that comes in the package. Subsequent tests have confirmed that the
daily.cvd pulled by Freshclam is OK. Switching mirrors (from
db.si.clamav.net to db.mx.clamav.net) hasn't helped either.
Here is the message I receive when attempting to re-start Clamd with the
"bad" main.cvd:
LibClamAV Error: Cannot close file /tmp/clamav-29cad58e042679e3/main.fp.
cli_untgz: No space left on device
LibClamAV Error: cli_cvdload(): Can't unpack CVD file.
LibClamAV Error: Can't load /var/clamav/main.cvd: CVD extraction failure
ERROR: CVD extraction failure
I don't believe that this is a drive space issue, as the /tmp directory
has plenty of space:
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/tmpMnt 190M 777K 179M 1% /tmp
You will note that I *do* have my /tmp mounted as such:
/dev/tmpMnt /tmp ext2 loop,noexec,nosuid,rw 0 0
Noexec, nosuid keeps executables from being run from the /tmp dir.
I was running Clamav 0.88.6 from Nov 17 - December 28 w/o a problem. I
upgraded to 0.88.7 on December 28, and the update to the main.cvd
occured on December 31st:

Any ideas? I've searched and searched for an answer...
