Yup. I had noticed this.
I've worked around the problem by pointing the DNS record at my own
server, and mak

Question:
Any reason anyone can think of that ClamAV will not run on HP-UX?
I haven't actually tried compiling it yet, but i'd like to get it running
on HP-UX 10.xx or 11.xx.
Thanks in advance for any help!

I saw that as well, but it's simply possible that noone has tested clamav
on HP-UX.
I'm certainly willing to be a test subject for this, i was just looking
for possible gotchas in advance.
I'm already running clamav on multiple FreeBSD systems.

How long between CVS being declared "wonderfully stable" and the code
getting released as a real version in sourceforge? I'm mildly disinclined
to use CVS on my server.

A better idea might be to put the "more stable" version into sourceforge
for download finally.

Interesting.
$ clamscan -V
clamscan / ClamAV version 20030829
$ clamd -V
clamd / ClamAV version 20030829
I seem to be having the same issue. I am using the anonymous server, with
a standard configure/make/make install dance, with no errors.
And it seems to be running fine, detecting the eicar
Just as a "hey, i got caught by this too", clamd doesn't kill the socket
when it crashes. so if you're using a local socket ( /tmp/clamd.something
) make sure it's erased before you try to start clamd after a crash. One
of the reasons that i stopped using local sockets, and started using

I just noticed that you gave the same answer. My bad. I think another

Generally un-neccesary. Just check if the sending SMTP host matches the
from address for the domain. IN general practice, it would be a bad idea
to bounce messages back to a non-matching address.
