o Install clamav
o Create a /usr/local/etc/clamav.conf for use with MIMEDefang:
cat << PENGUINSRCOOL > /usr/local/etc/clamav.conf
PidFile /var/spool/MIMEDefang/clamd.pid
LocalSocket /var/spool/
I think MailScanner is way better for the task
http://www.mailscanner.info/
and allows you to pipe them e-mails through many AV products
and then you can have mrtg stats with mailscanner-mrtg
http://mailscannermrtg.sourceforge.net/ or mailstats

I'm looking for the same thing as David is, however...
Which version of clamAV do you have? The latest snapshot has the first
pre-release of a sendmail milter with it.
A snapshot of a pre-release doesn't instill much confidence to use this in
a semi-'production' environment. (I say semi producti

Since this is the first snapshot to go out of the milter I would welcome any
feedback, either covering the software or the installation.

The documentation (such as it is) is in the source code, look at the comments
at the top of the file, it's all there.
I've since written a short

i think if there is a way to avoid amavis,
