My version of ClamAV .85 has become outdated and I need to upgrade.
Unfortunately I get error messages when I try to use RPM to upgrade because
of incompatibilities with zlib packages. I have not tried to ignore the
issues and force an install, but running out of ideas.

I would like to add to this I have been having the exact same problems, I
have tried all of the latest versions of the milter and all exhibit the same
problem, I am running the milter with the following options to try and keep
the email flowing.
--dont-log-clean --dont-scan-on-error --max-childre
