Hi, sure, i like the idea, but im as sure they wont get it done properly. why?
lets say the naming problem is as old as the virus problem itself. maybe not that old, but when the first two av scanners were availible, exactly these problems showed up. A calls it cat, B calls it dog. so why shall i believe they get it done now? just because the dhs takes part? and all in all they state themself it wont work, if they dont getout names/ids/tags for _every_ malware out there, this is incomplete and maybe even more confusing than now, as you may expect the names to be uniq. in my opinion this is just a promotion feature. the dhs got slapped some time ago as they did nothing during the last 3years they actually got paid for, so they 'brainstorm'ed some minutes, figured something out which would attract the maximum of media attention, and now they figure out what to do the next 3 years.
