hi!
i'm deploying clamscan in a RH9 box, i downloaded version 0.60, compiled
and installed, and i'm running freshclam periodically. Then i clamscanned my
virus archive. There were just four viruses not found, out of ~2200, three
of them were Fortnight.js. I sent those to [EMAIL PROTECTED] .

Nigel,
Thanks, adding the sendmail-devel rpm cured the creation of the

I thought the qmail softlimit could potentially be the problem, but I dont understand
why I recreate the
viruses.db2 file it fixes it? I also tried deleting the viruses.db2 file and
recreating it with freshclam
, but that didn't work. Thanks!

If i am not wrong, this question should be asked in the qmail maillist.

Hi All,
I run qmail and use clamav as a scanner to scan each email coming in and out.
I've recently been having some strange problems. It all
started one morning when one of my customers called and said they couldn't send any
email, but they could recieve them. I looked at the server's

hung up again today. Just noticed it now, looks like it hung up around

is the freshclam program. The probl

Hello,
This was mentioned on the virusdb part of the mailing lists, there was

Cheers,
Aly.

Hi all,
I just downloaded the new viruses.db file (June 30th) on the site and I
saw that it contained one line less then the older viruses.db file (from
June 25th), namely the following entry is no longer present:

Under some atypical (but not particularly peculiar set-ups) it is possible
to make a serious blunder with MIMEDefang and clamav.
The MIMEDefang documentation does (correctly) warn to run clamd as the

be run as in its configur

was being updated, but the clamd in
