Hi Chuck,
Could it be that your battery is the problem?
Can you keep it in the charging cradle while doing the Chirp work?
HTH.

Are you kidding?
I've used Ubuntu since version 8, and often go to Ubuntu for certain tasks,
because I am still a windows user, and I used DOS quite a bit back in the
day, and still recall all the CLI commands of DOS.
But I use Linux for chirp for screenreader reasons, Chirp is challenging in

Chuck,
Have you tried the following?
open device manager, and seeing which com ports show, and then unplug the
cable, and see which one disappears, so you can select that port in Chirp.

Hi Richard,
Yes, you must first download from the radio.
Then you can and probably should save the clean image in the file save as menu.
Then you can import a CSV file with your wanted frequencies, or just edit what
is there from the download, and then you upload to the radio.

Did you download from the radio first?
You must do that first, then import or edit, and then upload.
HTH.

Chirp is one of the main reasons I use Linux, so I'll stick with the latest
Linux that installs and updates like before.
So if Chirp does not go to Py3, I'll probably be using Ubuntu 18.4 for the next
10 years.

Is Ubuntu 16.4 the latest that works well with Chirp?
I may stick with that if there are problems with Chirp and the OSs that use
Python 3.

Hi All,
Hoping someone here will be able to help.
Ubuntu 16.43, and I'm trying to import a CSV file that I have used on my
Baofengs, onto a new radio.
It is a Wouxun KG UV 7D.
I selected the 6D in the radio list in the Chirp radio selection, since when
looking for the manual at the Wouxun site, I
Hi,
I know that the Kenwood TH-F6 in Chirp is operating under "live mode", but I'm
not sure of what that means in terms of programming it.
I went throughout the settings, and put in my call sign and initials instead of
the HELLO !! that was in there, and when I connected it to the Kenwood
