I would get it working on simH and then make an RL02 from the working

I put UNIX on a RL02 and ran on an 11/40, so there is no reason why you
can't replicate on an 11/34.

My copy of V7 just required the FPP. Ran on RL02 or RL01, I forget. Need
to dig it out and image it.

There are a few disk pack images out there but not many, you might have to

That sounds promising. I'm going to attempt another RL02 install in simh as
well and post back with the results.

There is a copy of the contents of a 7m distribution tape at:
https://www.tuhs.org/Archive/Distributions/DEC/Jean_Huens_v7m/
Along with the tape contents, there are also n
Much appriciated, i will check 7m out now.

DEC fixed a few bugs in V7 and expanded hardware support and called it 7m.
Sounds promising, if i can find
7m was the Bell Labs unix that came after v6. I've got the disks
somewhere around here, are there other copies out there?

You needed two drives.
RSX11/M 4.2 would probably be the best OS for a 34.
