Okay. Thanks to the assistance from this list, I now have BRLTTY 4.3 up and running! However, the loaner Alva BC 680 is still not producing braille for me to read... So I ran the following: sudo brltty -bal -v These are the lines of output that appear to describe the problem: brltty
