I see your question already got answered. Just remember to also turn off
recycling. Bacula does not understand what the label means to a human,
and will recycle it for any job. The end result is that the job in a
volume will have no relationship to the label.

That's why I would probably trust a DVD more than solid-state.
Ultimately, though, all media fails. Tapes wear out, too.

the restore itself?
Note to self: when doing such a restore, restore /etc/passwd and
/etc/group (or the LDAP configuration or whatever else is used) before
anything else. That's 20/20 hindsight, of course.
