Goal: Compare two volumes.
Reason: suddenly volumes which should be more or less equal in size
start to differ by 80% growth. I want to find out why.
I am using diskbased backup so a compare from a physical volume to a
catalog would also be fine.
When looking at the documentation I noticed that
nters appreciated. I prefer FOSS obviously. Windows and Linux are
both fine.

Dear List,
I am in the process of trying to get a grip on the messages that Bacula
is emailing.
Obviously various strategies can be considered:
- reconfiguring the message stanza to limit the amount of mail (leading
to less insight in the backup-process imho)
- not using the bsmtp mailer as prov

Dear List,
We have got a single-slot tapedrive and therefor do not have the luxury
of letting Bacula decide which volume/tape to use. So our configuration
forces Bacula to use a Monday-volume(tape), a Tuesday-volume(tape) etc.
I have implemented a RunBeforeJob which checks if the current date i

In my configuration of the FileSet stanza in bacula-dir.conf I forgot to

Just a quick reminder in case you were unfamiliar with it:
There are some contributions to this subject in the wiki:

Writing some scripts for various apps/dbs was on my list too. So I will
watch this thread closely.

Dear List
We run a verifyjob between a regular tape-backup and a catalogb ackup to
tape.
The first time the job was run as an initcalalog job to have an inital
verification state.
The purpose of the verify job is to asure that the data of the regular
backup is written to tape correctly. I fear
